Jerry Helms is an experienced operations and project manager in the Raleigh, NC area. "Building collaborative teams focused on continually improving their performance is critical to any organization", according to Helms. As General Manager of a local manufacturing and distribution company, Jerry led all areas of the company. He has hands-on experience in solving a wide variety of problems and implementing solutions to achieve sales growth and improve operational effectiveness.
Jerry was the original founder of DB Basics in 1988, which was recognized as a North Carolina Fast 50 award recipient in 1995.
Jerry is a native of Charlotte, NC and has two degrees from North Carolina State University. A BS in Computer Science and MS in Management Science. Jerry attained his certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. He also completed the Six Sigma Black Belt program at NC State and is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Jerry has been actively involved in developing Internet applications since it's debut in the mid to late 1990's. He has assisted in the implementation of multiple eCommerce initiatives including: shopping platforms, customer relationship management, content management, database drive applications.
Leading software development teams in the implementation of complex business solutions has been a recurring theme throughout Jerry's career. He has also taught project management best practices to hundreds of participants around the world.
